Page 28: More ropes. Information on static belays. It is interesting to note that a "static" belay can be executed with a vise like grip on the rope (both hands should be used as braking hands)... I wish I understood the belaying techniques of the time. Also, some miscellaneous information on keeping the rope clean and some editorializing on the length of ropes.

Page 29: Information on webbing and a discussion of webbing knots. The recommended knot for tying webbing into a loop is the Grapevine knot - over the Ring Bend.
