Pusch Ridge Wilderness Order 05-123

On January 25, 2008, Josh Taiz, the district wildlife biologist of the Santa Catalina Ranger District photocopied the closure order for Pusch Ridge Wilderness for me (see below). This closure is in effect for 2008. The net of the closure order is that:

1. The Pusch Ridge Wilderness, as described below, is closed from January 1st through April 30th.
2. The Pusch Ridge Wilderness areas are closed for the purpose of protecting Big Horn Sheep habitat.
3. The penalty for climbing or being in the closed Pusch Ridge areas during the closure is at most $5000 or imprisonment for not more than six months, or both.

Note that this closure order has been in effect since March 13th, 1996.
